I received my Bachelor of Arts at Middlebury College and my Masters of Public Health and Nutrition at The University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. I have worked with individuals of all ages who are overcoming eating disorders and disordered eating. I worked as an outpatient dietitian at Metrowest Nutrition, a group practice in greater Boston between 2017 and 2024. Prior to this, I was the lead dietitian of the residential program at Carolina House, an eating disorder treatment facility in Durham, North Carolina, where I worked with adolescents and adults. I have also worked with children and adolescents at Veritas Collaborative’s eating disorder treatment program for children, also in Durham.
I was trained to teach Trauma Center Trauma- Sensitive Yoga at the Justice Resource Institute in 2016, and completed Level 1 of the Embodied Recovery Training with the Embodied Recovery Institute in 2021. I am committed to learning more about how to provide trauma-informed and somatically integrated nutrition counseling.
I was the primary investigator on a study that I conducted with Dr. Cynthia Bulik at the UNC Center for Excellence in Eating Disorders. Study findings, published in the International Journal of Eating Disorders, evaluated the consensus on nutrition counseling practices among registered dietitians treating individuals with anorexia nervosa.
I am a member of the Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association (MEDA). Additionally, I am a certified Sivananda Yoga Instructor and have received specialized training in Curvy Yoga and Motivational Interviewing.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my kids, husband and pets, going outside, painting, growing dahlias, watching nature docs and reading whodunits.
